Florida Fury starts the season full of news

This new season the Florida Fury came with a lot of news!

Who made the tryout first received the email saying:

“Daniel Checchia has been appointed Director of Hockey Operations.

We would like to formally introduce and welcome Dan as our Director of Hockey Operations.  As Director of Hockey Operations, Dan will be responsible for all hockey related activities including the selection of the coaching staff and leading that group throughout the season. We are lucky to have Dan as he brings years of leadership experience to our organization.” Said Justin McClaine the President of Florida Fury Hockey and Foundation and Club.

PSSNplay wants to welcome Daniel, and we are waiting for him to be here in our studio to tell us all about his plan for Florida Fury.

Today, May 4, 2022, Florida Fury posted on its Instagram a letter below:

“Dear Florida Fury families and the entire hockey community

We wanted the entire Florida hockey community to know that our organization is not going bankrupt and any rumor you may hear is 100% false.

We are stronger than ever, both in player count and in our financial position. The Florida Fury has zero debt and rushes to plan within our budgets.

Florida Fury would like to thank all of our families and the entire hockey community for the support we’ve seen in recent weeks for our organization.

This testing week is the culmination of that support as we have seen our testing numbers double from last season with over 200 players participating in our testing.

In addition, we plan to add three new teams for the next season. We already have one of the two 16A teams set, one 14AA, one 14A, and we believe we will have a third 14A team in the coming days for next season.

Fury will also have our 8U Mites, 10U and 12U teams, as well as our new 18U team led by coach Andre Gagnon.

The foundation of our program has never been stronger, we brought in a group of new coaches and an amazing hockey director, Daniel Checchia. All of these amazing people share the same values our organization was founded on over 18 years ago, developing hockey players not just to play the game of hockey, but more importantly, to become better people so they can be better prepared. to face the challenges that come. next in life.

The Florida Fury Foundation & Club is not owned by any track or individual, it is a non-profit 501c3 corporation.

The current board of directors is a group of people who volunteer their time to give back to the community and families we serve. In the last three seasons, we’ve gone from 35 players on three teams to 9 teams from 8U to 18U for this upcoming season.

Most importantly, we have a strong partnership with Rink on the Beach in Pompano, our home rink. Along with Rink on the Beach, we’ve integrated the Rinks Learn to Skate and Rec programs with the Florida Fury travel program so players can come to our rink from an early age, strap on their skates, and play through college or their future careers.

We are grateful to all the special people who have passed through our doors to help build the Florida Fury over the years.

Florida Fury is not a profitable business or owned by any one person, we are all stewards of the organization that takes care of it, to continue its original mission of serving the community and providing a high quality service to the hockey program while teaching our players values. fundamental fundamentals to take with them for life.

We hope to see everyone on the ice to experience what Florida Fury is all about. If you have any questions about our organization, please feel free to contact us anytime at WeAreTheFury@FloridaFury.com and we will be happy to respond and contact you by phone anytime. Thankfully
